As a youngster George always cut the neighbors’ lawns. Well…he still does,
just more of them. He has maintained lawns for 38 years establishing Vetter
Landscaping along the way. George cut lawns through four years of college
while obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Marketing and then continuing on to
get an Associates Degree in Fire Fighting. George worked for a fire
department for fifteen years while running the landscaping business but
returned to his roots and left the fire service, putting his energy into
building the business. The business has expanded into snow plowing, salting,
tree service, excavating, landscape design and construction, and several
types of hardscaping.
Vetter Landscaping maintains membership in the NJ Farm Bureau, Land
Improvement Contractors Association, and the NJ Nursery and Landscape
Association. These provide up to the minute information and continuing
education.
George has earned certificates from Rutgers in landscape design and plant
identification. He also has a real estate license, NJ Fire Inspectors
License, and a commercial driver’s license. We also maintain a DEP license
to treat lawns for weeds and insects.
